The Yoga Doula

If you aren't able to have a physical doula in the hospital and/or want your partner to learn how they can best support you during childbirth, then this is the class for you!

This private class can be done in the comfort of your own home via Facetime or Zoom or even in person, if you live close enough. The class consists of 2 sessions that are 1-1.5 hours each and we will cover all the goodness listed below.

I will also provide handouts via email, and be available via phone to answer any questions you may have before, during, or after your class.

  • Role of hormones and how to facilitate them
  • Breathing Techniques 
  • Visualization
  • Accupressure
  • Massage
  • Rebozo techniques (that can be done with a bedsheet)
  • Hip Squeezes
  • Counterpressure
  • Positions for labor and pushing
  • Essential Oils for labor 
  • Warm & cold compress - when to use which
  • How to use exercise and peanut balls

I have been teaching this class for around seven years with great results. The class is very interactive and tailored to each mother-to-be, since it's a private class and we can get personal! It is always evolving as I learn more myself and continue to further my own education and stay on op of current research surrounding childbirth.
