I have a deep passion for helping women tap into their own power source through the mindful movements and breath-work of yoga and through childbirth education and preparation. In 2013, I became a certified birth doula with the toLabor organization and began attending births. I’m also a certified yoga teacher, specializing in prenatal yoga. I’ve attended a week long childbirth workshop at The Farm Midwifery in Summertown, TN, and have a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I am always seeking ways to further my education and better serve expecting mothers. My goal is to support mothers physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually; As well as to empower them through education about how their bodies work so that they feel confident starting a family, giving birth, and mothering their little ones.
I believe that pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood are sacred and should be surrounded by positive energy and loving support.

“Oh sweet Meredith!! She was such a blessing in my journey to bring our newest boy into our lives. She supported me emotionally and physically during labor. She took her time to really get to know me because it was important for me to have a connection with the people who would be attending such a life changing event. She did my placenta art (or tried to-my placenta was huge), painted my belly, attended and hosted a blessingway at my babyshower, took a class with me, visited me in my home, was knowledgable about so many topics and taught me what she knew. She will forever have a special place in my heart and mind. I truly love the person she is and I believe her calling was to do exactly what she's doing. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doula who cares.”

“Meredith was such a blessing to have through my pregnancy and birth. Even before I decided to go with her, Meredith would message me back on Facebook answering questions I had in a quick, timely manner. This showed me that I could count on her and not worry about not being able to get a hold of her. After we signed on with her she continued being there for me via text, Facebook, and phone- I even went to her yoga class. Knowing I could talk to my Doula any time I had a problem or crazy question was very comforting. My husband and I decided to do the birthing classes with Meredith in our home. We really enjoyed the one on one learning, and it helped us get comfortable with what we would be doing at home for early labor when the time came. Once labor did start Meredith came to the house and helped my husband and mother coach and comfort me through the contractions and decide on when it was time to go to hospital. Meredith was with me about 21 hours (labor in gay home & hospital) and was encouraging the entire time. My husband didn't think we needed a Doula before the birth, but after the birth he was so taken back by how much she helped that he would recommend one (and especially Meredith) to anyone & everyone. Meredith still calls and texts to see how the baby & I are doing- that's how loving and caring of a person & Doula she is. I couldn't have asked for a better Doula.”

Meredith was a wealth of knowledge! Very encouraging, reassuring and supportive of our birth plan. She definitely helped me feel more calm and confident about preparing for labor instead of having feelings of fear and anxiety since she took the time to educate me and my husband about the entire process from the beginning stages of labor until early postpartum. I highly recommend her childbirth prep class and I can only imagine using her as a doula would make the labor process much smoother and less nerve wracking. Thanks Meredith for allowing me to finally relax and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy now that I understand more of what to expect when my baby is ready to arrive!
